One of my favorite things around this time of year is receiving holiday cards and seeing how all of my friends and family are doing. Kids grow so fast. In years past I have put them in a pile to go through them maybe once or twice, but this year I decided to get crafty. I decided to hang them garland style around my living room so that I could sit and stare at all the cards when I wanted to veg out. I've meditated much on these cards throughout this December.
All I did was hang them on fishing wire with small binder clips to make them stay. I used my picture frame molding so that I wouldn't have to put holes in the walls and voila! Far off people who I rarely see have been with me on a daily basis this December.

Veeeery nice! Your post looks like something straight out of Real Simple magazine. I do the same thing with my kids art work throghout the year. You're a talented one, you are!
thanks leslie! i'll tell you a secret. my living room looks like this 1% of the time- for the hour after the house cleaner has been there! i basically took all the kids toys and books and threw them in the corner. it's nice to pretend.
Pixie, is it wrong that I enjoyed looking at your furniture so much? I particularly like the blue chair. So festive! :)
Happy New Year!
I'm glad to see you got my card (3rd image, 4th from the right! ha ha)
I love your garland. My mom always did that. I drape mine around this bench that I have in the entry way - then all around a picture I have on the wall above the bench. I especially loved seeing Kali up on your wall :)
