One World One Heart 2010 Giveaway

September 2010
Welcome to my blog! Thank you so much for visiting. I hope that you are having a wonderful magic carpet ride.

This is my first year participating in the One World One Heart giveaway, and I am so excited!

"The original idea behind this giveaway event was to bring bloggers together from around the world who may never ordinarily meet. It closes the gap of the blog community and enables us to interact, discover new and wonderful people..."- Lisa Swifka of A Whimsical Bohemian. I am so thankful to Lisa for creating such a momentous event and for helping everyone to make new friends!
Photo
I just became a ticketholder the day before it started, so I wasn't able to fine tune my giveaway, but I did take a picture of my giveaway on my magic carpet.
I am giving away 3 of my 2010 calendars. The top illustration is from my calendar. All of the artwork was created by me and if you have one on your wall it will make all your dreams for 2010 come true (with a little help from yourself of course)!

To participate in my giveaway you must complete 3 challenges...well just 3 super easy tasks.

1- You must have a blog to link back to.

2- In the comments section please tell me the following 3 things. (Voluntary)

1 What is your New Year's resolution?
2 What are the chances of getting it to come true?
3 If you could take a magic carpet ride anywhere in the world or beyond, where would it be?
4 Can you do your New Year's resolution on a magic carpet?
(This last one is a bonus question.)

3-Leave your comment on this post by midnight NYC eastern time February 14th.

May the best bloggers win! (That's all of you.)

I will be choosing by a random counter, because sometimes it's better to leave things to fate.

Thank you for stopping by my Diary and reading a little bit about me and my daily life. I hope you enjoyed your visit. Patricia

I never made any resolutions this year. Instead, I always try to do something new whenever the opportunity arises. I will soon be attempting to learn to spin my own yarn (and maybe eventually learn to knit and crochet too!).
My magic carpet would take me to an exotic locale like Morocco or Malta.

Thanks for hopping aboard this magic carpet ride. I hope you get a chance to pop by my blog #258 on your journey.

I love your artwork. The lady and tiger illustration perfectly captures how I am feeling about 2010. Your calendar would definitely help me work towards making my dreams come true. Oh, your calendars look so sweet! I would love to have one of them for my very own. So, to answer your questions...

1. I have several. One of them is to learn more bead stitches so I can get out of my "creative rut", so to speak.
2. Chances are good! I'm participating in the 2010 Bead Journal Project, which is giving me the incentive to actually do this.
3. So many places I'd love to go on a magic carpet. But right now, I'd fly over to Haiti - and since the carpet is magic, I'd bestow upon the people a great big magic dose of healing and rebuilding.
4. By the time I got there, my carpet would be sporting some major bling in more stitches than one could imagine!

Thanks for including me in your giveaway, and thanks for visiting my blog!

My new years resolution is a word like some other people are choosing. My word is FOCUS- i would like to focus more on God and my relationship with him, focus more on my family, and focus on the things that are important rather than the things that are urgent. I think if I keep it in the forefront of my mind, I will achieve it. If I could ride the carpet anywhere, I would go some where warm and sunny. And I forgot the fourth question :) Happy blog hopping.

I haven't bought a 2010 calendar yet, yeah, I am slow.

My New Year's resolution is to try really hard to follow through on The Happiness Project.

So far, it is going pretty well. I am just taking it slow and every day is a new chance to start anew.

I would go to Ireland on a magic carpet.

Thanks!

Hi Pixie,
thanks for visiting me at blog 885. Please include me in you draw, I would love to win one of your calendars, the drawings are great. My new years resolution was to tidy up and set up a workroom, I'm half way there, got the room nearly set up but struggling with the tidying up, spending too much time on the computer!

Hehe, I love your questions!
1 I am training to run in the St. Jude relay to Peoria!
2 100%, I am determined! My goal is to raise at least $300 for St. Jude!
3 I'd love to visit Texas, my husband has an unlce there that I've NEVER met because the drive is just too long!
4 If I had a Magic Carpet, it would make the relay a LOT faster! But then I would be running and training for nothing!

I didn't make a New Year's resolution, other than to do my best to keep on the same track, 'cos I'm loving life. I think I could do this as well on a magic carpet as off. ;) And if I could ride that carpet to Italy, I'd be there in a minute.

1. I don't do resolutions, but I am trying to eat healthier and not drink so much pop.
2. Pretty good, I haven't had any pop in almost a week (that would be tomorrow), and I know I'm eating less junk food.
3. Ireland, I'd love to go there OR Hawaii, I just came back from a 2 week vacation on Jan 12th, and with all the snow we've had lately, I'd give pretty much anything to go back there.
4. Most likely, I'd probably eat less, because it would be whatever I happened to pack on my magic carpet ride.

I’d love to be entered in your drawing.

Thank you for giving us the chance to win your lovely calendars! :)

1. One of my resolutions was to eat healthier, but I'm pretty sure I've already blown that one. I came home last week and found a GIANT box of chocolates waiting at my door. It was sabotage I tell you!

2. see #1

3 I would take a ride to my local animal shelter, rescue all the animals and fly them to loving new homes all over the world.

4 Maybe... but it might be little difficult to balance a plate and eating utensils on a flying carpet. lol

This is very cool, and I want one. Here goes:

1. Resulotion = to declutter my house. If we don't love it or don't use it, it's going. More room for peace and fun.

2. The chances are great. I am determined and am off to a great start -- LOTS of things have been discarded and, inspiringly, none of them have been missed.

3. I would take a magic carpet ride to heaven . . . just to make sure it's all worth it and to catch up with some people I dearly miss.

4. Can my resolution be done on a magic carpet? Maybe if I had the help of a genie with imagination!

Alright, pick me!

Hi Patricia - your website & blog are really fun! I love your story (I'm a virgo...maybe that is why I majored in marketing instead of art - trying to be practical).

Oh yes - and I don't really do 'resolutions' - but my word of the year is GRACE - I want to be graceful with the unknowns that life seems to throw at me. And yes - I think I can do this on my magic carpet.

If I could go anywhere - I would travel around the world - and end up right back where I live in my little community in the Colorado Rocky Mountains.

Hope I covered all your criteria...can't look back on it while commenting. Thanks for stopping by the mountain mermaid (mtnmermaid.wordpress.com. Cheers from Colorado! - Lisa

Lovely blog! And thanks for visiting mine.

I don't do New Year's Resolutions. I think that if something needs to get done, it needs to get done whether it's a New Year or not. I do, however, want to figure out how to help support my family through my art, music, and writing.

Would like to go lots of places and am open to whatever comes my direction - any continent would be an adventure. Although New Mexico is a pretty cool state to live in on a small budget - we do a lot of traveling around here.
best,
Melody

Wonderful giveaway. I would love one of your calendars!

I no longer do resolutions- they just never seem to stick. I try to set short-term goals. Right now I am working on items for an annual craft show in November!! I will be prepared this year.
I would love to travel just about anywhere- but I would especially love to see Switzerland.

Love your featured art work from your calendar.

Here goes:

1 - New Year's resolution - I started a new feature on my blog sidebar with eco-friendly tips from a book my mom found. So far I'm up to Tip #13.
2 - Chances of getting it to come true? - High. I'm certain I'll keep it going for the year.
3 - Magic carpet ride anywhere in the world? - Russia. I would be magically bundled up against the cold, of course.
4 - Can you do your New Year's resolution on a magic carpet? - I think Magic Carpet Rides leave a zero carbon footprint.

That was fun! *waving* hi from Nova Scotia, Canada.
